My theory, to be verified, was that, depending on the type of twist, there were wires more suitable to be processed from left to right and other from right to left. If you look at the classification, in fact we see that these two types of wires have a different twist.

I find that needle lace this problem is less serious than in embroidery because, except in parts very "full" or outline, the wire experiences less friction.
